Calendar, views and print

Calendar is where you look at the church week, and where you act on a day. Activities, serving, people and print are views of that same week — not separate apps.

What you are looking at

The toolbar picks Month, Agenda, Week or Day. Agenda is the default on a small screen because a seven-column month is not usable there.

Sources in the left rail are the layers on the feed. A layer that is off is off for you in this browser; turning it back on does not change anyone else's calendar.

A day

Click a date — the number, the empty space in a month cell, or +N more. The right panel opens on that day: what is on it, who is serving, and which roles are still unfilled.

  • Members see that read-only.
  • Schedulers who may manage schedules can fill or change a role in the panel. The save is the same assignment save the serving grid uses; one role does not wipe the rest of the week.
  • Open serving grid still takes you to the ministry's week when you need a batch of dates.
  • New event on this day is offered to people who may create activities. Week and Day views also create from an hour click, because a click there carries a time.

The panel can be collapsed; the month takes the width back. Below a phone-sized screen the collapse control is hidden, same as the left rail.

Unfilled roles

Empty roles are stated in words. The day panel counts them for that date. The serving grid counts them for the visible range. Neither sends mail; they only show the gap.

Open view and Save view

Print setup already had named views. Calendar can open the same rows, and a signed-in person can save the layers and screen they are looking at.

  • Open view… lists private views you own and shared views anyone may reuse.
  • Opening applies the layers. If the view also stored month/week/day/agenda or the left rail, those change; if it did not, your current switcher and rail stay put. Paper settings (theme, header, notes) are ignored on screen.
  • Save view… writes a private copy. It does not overwrite a colleague's shared view. To change a shared one, save it as your own, or be its owner or a portal administrator.
  • Custom calendars are not part of a saved view.

You have to be signed in. The views API refuses a guest.

Print this view

Print this view opens the print studio with the layers and dates currently on screen. It is a separate document, not this page with print styles over it.

Printables is still the hub for roster sheets, event lists and birthday directories. For a wall calendar of the month you are looking at, use Calendar → Print this view.

Campus

The top-bar campus selector is the only campus control. A saved view does not store campus; the cookie you already chose still applies when you open one.
